Well, at first I should agree with the previous critique, I see nothing better or different than what he saw. The shoggoth is rather comical but so is the action of fleeing and anyway that is your inimitable style. Your cartoons resemble those of DrFaustus AU. Very amusing, and yet the air of fear is still there. The color and manner of presentation is very good. But again, you are that way. It is a shame that Weird Tales did not invite you to revamp their issues. The only "fault" in this is that the mountains are missing. Another background may be better. The rest is good.
Excellent artwork; somewhere between a mad magazine strip and a good children's book. The shoggoth is well done, and the racket snowshoes are a nice touch. I especially like the font used to make the title and the byline.
I might say to change up the composition, as it seems derivitave of the last two peices, but with books for young people, recognizability of the cover art can be better than a known author. I will say that a bit more snow might add an Arctic flavor to the work, maybe some light blue in the background.

Well done my friend.
